Participate in Food Day with Food Trucks

The Center for Science in the Public Interest is sponsoring a day to promote healthy food and sustainable food practices.

Today is “Food Day,” a national event sponsored by the Center for Science in the Public Interest to “push for healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable, humane way,” according to FoodDay.org.

Here are a few ways to participate with your local food trucks:

Food Day DC Food Truck Event: In celebration of Food Day DC, about 30 DC Food Truck Association trucks are going to be serving at various K Street locations (Farragut, McPherson, Franklin).
The Food Truck Invasion in Hollywood at Arts Park in Young Circle:
Time: 5:30PM – 10PM
Location: Hollywood Boulevard at U.S. 1 Hollywood, FL
Chicago Occupy Event with Food Trucks:
Time: 12:30
Location: Michigan Ave. & Oak St. Chicago, IL
Off the Grid: San Mateo
Time: 5pm – 9pm
Location: Corner of 1st and Baldwin in front of the Downtown San Mateo Caltrans Station

You do not need to participate at an event, feel free to track down your favorite food truck and spend some time with them.
