Which US Cities will have the Most Growth in the Mobile Food Industry?

New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Portland, Austin, and Miami currently rank among the top in totals of mobile food vendors within their city limits. What we are hoping to find, is who our readers feel will be able to grow into this tier, or even grow faster than these cities are in regards to the number of food trucks or food carts they license.

Currently, there are a number of cities that are re-working legislation to promote more vendors, but is there a diamond in the rough, which already has the proper infrastructure in place?

You tell us. (you may vote for up to 5 cities)

  1. Administrator says:

There are so many new cities that are starting to grow, the list is almost endless. Other cities of note should include Sacramento CA, Cleveland and Columbus OH.

  2. WildWill says:

Why Is Miami Florida not here?

    • Administrator says:

We included them in the top ranked cities at the top of the article. Miami’s growth has been amazing over the last year, and in our opinion, puts them in the top ranks already.

  3. Bill Cowlinger says:

Sacramento, CA – a higher percentage of growth among new trucks in the past year than any other city on the list, according the the California Restaurant Association (more than 300%!).

  4. PJD says:

    Sacramento, CA

  5. tammy says:

No boubt Miami is the fastest growing market in the country. Not even listed? HOW?

    • Administrator says:

We consider Miami to already to have reached the top tier mobile food cities, and you are right, they are still growing. But we are looking at cities that may only have a dozen or so trucks, and which of those cities the readers feel will grow the fastest in the next year.
