BOSTON, MA – You probably never thought you’d be looking for a gift card to Stoked Pizza Co. in a bush, or on top of a piece of public art, but here we are.

Today, the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy launches a Greenway Scavenger Hunt. From Tuesday, August 9, until Saturday, August 13, the 1.5-mile-long park will have dozens of gift cards for local food trucks, and tickets to the Greenway’s carousel, hidden along its turf. The Greenway runs from Chinatown Park in the south to North End Park.

“With the Greenway on pace for our third consecutive year of over 1 million trackable visitors, we wanted a fun way to encourage the public to explore less-visited areas of the park,” says Jesse Brackenbury, executive director of the Greenway Conservancy, in press release.

Participating is easy. The Greenway will periodically cast clues around Internet via Twitter,Facebook, and Instagram to hint at where to look across over 50 drop sites, which could be anywhere from the park’s many small gardens to the Ai Weiwei “Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads” art installation near the Rings Fountain. No clue will appear on more than one social media channel, though, so keep your eyes glued to all three to find the day’s spoils.
