FORT WAYNE, IN – A food trend on the East and West coasts is starting to catch on here: Food trucks are starting to show up in Fort Wayne.

JumBy’s JoiNt, owned by Jim “Jumby” Garigen, is the latest. His truck can be seen at events all over town, including at home TinCaps games, where he serves food before and after games, but closed down during most of the game so he doesn’t compete with vendors inside the ballpark.

His truck also can be found frequently at Chase banks.

JumBy’s JoiNt serves sandwiches, such as the Ugly Granny, a grilled cheese sandwich with Granny Smith apples; Chicago dogs; and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. He makes them authentic, just like you’d find in the cities that are their namesake.

Sides include fried pickles, truffle fries and Buffalo fries (which are hand-cut, by the way). The mobile kitchen is about the size of a Fed Ex truck.
