HARRISBURG, PA – Food trucks could soon be popping up in Harrisburg.

City council approved a measure allowing food trucks to operate in the city.

Under the ordinance, food trucks must be at least 50 feet away from other businesses and 100 feet away from each other.

In addition, food truck operators have to follow the same health regulations as restaurants.

They cannot sell food past 2:30 a.m., and they have to be off the streets by 2:45 a.m.

“We just want to make sure they [food vendors] follow our rules and regulations in setting up any mobile unit in the city of Harrisburg,” said council president Wanda Williams.
