PHOENIX, AZ – Several Phoenix food truck owners say they have been kicked away from the curb at the state Capitol.

KPHO-TV reports that street food vendors such as Luncha Libre thought their permit to park on the statehouse lawn every Friday around lunch time was still in effect But Luncha Libre operator Tim Cobb says a city transportation employee told operators last week to leave.

According to Cobb, the employee said their permits were no longer good.

The city transportation department declined to comment.

Cobb says he knew there was going to be a re-evaluation process in July but thought his permit was good until December.

Cobb says the evaluation appears to have occurred without him being told.

The governor’s office says it plans to look into the matter.
