mn food truck associationThirty Minnesota food trucks have banded together to form an association to advocate for themselves, likely in response to a similar group of downtown Minneapolis restaurants.

The Downtown Food Committee formed late last year to question whether food trucks have an unfair advantage over bricks-and-mortar restaurants.

A news release announcing the food trucks group states that “The (Minnesota Food Truck Association) will advocate for the unique issues facing the fast-growing food truck industry and support the vitality, diversity and quality of food trucks.”

Chef Shack, Hola Arepa, AZ Canteen and World Street Kitchen are among the food truck association’s members.
