Chef Tai Lee wins national Food Channel honors beating out 600 trucks

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The contest to name America’s Favorite Food Truck started back in July with nearly 600 trucks and asked fans to nominate and vote for their favorite local truck. Over four million people voted and now, Chef Tai and his Mobile Bistro Food Truck from College Station, Texas can claim the grand prize of $10,000 and the chance to appear on season three of The Great Food Truck Race broadcast on the Food Channel cable TV network.

“We are honored to beat out so many other trucks located in much bigger cities,” explained Chef Tai Lee.  “I also look forward to use part of my winnings for the Texas Wildfire Relief Charity, and the rest of it will be used to improve our gourmet food truck to be interstate travel ready.”

Chef Tai also added, “I credit this victory to our local residence and Texans across the country wanting to see a Texas restaurant earn the opportunity to be featured on National TV.  I will forever be grateful for this distinction.”

Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro is a fun and inexpensive alternative to an upscale dining experience. His globally inspired menu includes: BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos, Korean Short Rib BBQ Bowl, American Wagyu Burger with Au Poivre Sauce, and Brussels Tofu Florentine all priced under $8. Chef Tai Lee has developed a menu that delivers high-end food at street level prices.
