CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A number of businesses along Kostoryz and Holly were spray-painted with graffiti over the weekend.

KRIS6 was able to speak with a woman whose brand new food truck was damaged.

Lailani Rizkallah is heartbroken as she surveys the damage to her new food truck. It was vandalized the first weekend she used it. “My husband is very mad, because he bought it for me.”

They spent 35-thousand dollars to buy the truck because Lailani loves to cook.

Lailani made some wonderful Filipino Creations that sold well on Saturday but Sunday morning things took a turn for the worse. “And then this is what you’re going to see the second day of your business day, Very upsetting.”

She never thought her hard-earned truck would be damaged, especially after only one day.

“They just have to stop, ya know. It’s not cute, it’s not funny, they need to respect other people’s property and they need to grow up,” Lailani said in reference to the vandals.

It’s been a few rough years for this family back in 2011 Lailani’s military veteran husband, David, was critically injured by a hit and run driver.

If you know who vandalized their food truck call CrimeStoppers.
