VALLEJO, CA –  A 46-year-old food truck owner from Vallejo who disappeared earlier this month after completing his rounds in Napa is back home, according to family and the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.

Private investigators brought Ramiro E. Arechiga home Tuesday, daughter Maria Arechiga said Wednesday. She declined further comment on the whereabouts of her father, whom the family had reported missing to authorities in Napa County and Vallejo after he failed to come home March 4.

Napa County Sheriff’s Capt. Leroy Anderson on Thursday confirmed Arechiga was home. The Vallejo Police Department, contacted by the family March 5, could not be reached for comment.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office last week conducted searches around the business park near the Napa County Airport where Arechiga and his wife sell lunch food every day from their food truck.

Napa County Sheriff’s Capt. Tracey Stuart last week said Arechiga’s truck was found on Skyway Court where his wife had last seen him on March 4. Arechiga was that evening at a hotel in Fairfield and again the next day at a bank, also in Fairfield, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was listed as “voluntarily missing.”

The food truck is back in business at the business park near Napa County Airport as if nothing had happened, according to a witness.
