Food truck trend rolling into Augusta – AUGUSTA, GA – As the food-truck movement rolls steadily into Augusta, Edward Mendoza is jumping aboard. Havird Usry is, too.

For Mendoza, the venture started late last year as a substitute second location for his Kitchen 1454 on Walton Way. Usry, on the other hand, looked to the food-truck concept to expand his catering business at Fat Man’s Mill Cafe & Catering in Enterprise Mill.

Walnut Creek about to become food truck mecca – WALNUT CREEK, CA – Food trucks bearing gourmet goodies are just around The Bend.

A food truck market dubbed “The Bend” is on track to set up shop on Main Street, at the site of former French restaurant Le Virage, in March. The family behind Le Virage — French for “the turn” — are the owners and operators of The Bend, which will offer eight rotating food trucks six days a week for lunch and dinner.

Some Delray restaurateurs say festivals bring in too many food vendors – DELRAY, FL – Even though droves of people visited downtown Delray Beach to grab a bite to eat this holiday season, some downtown eatery owners said they weren’t dining in their establishments.

And at a recent City Commission meeting, the restaurateurs placed the blame on the overwhelming convergence of food trucks and street vendors the city brings in to fill Atlantic Avenue during festivals and special events.
