Involving Customers in Your Food Truck Menu Creation

When you are in the process of creating your food truck empire, the best way to get your prospective food truck customers excited by your product or service is to involve them in creating it. Instead of offering them what you think they need, ask them to help you design your menu to be what they want. One thing you can do doing your menu design process, hold an online contest to bring customer ideas to the table. Customers who have a stake in the development process are far more likely to feel pride of ownership and be happy with the menu items you provide them.


Richard is an architect by degree (Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan) who began his career in real estate development and architectural planning. In September of 2010 he created Mobile Cuisine Magazine to fill an information void he found when he began researching how to start a mobile hotdog cart in Chicago. Richard found that there was no central repository of mobile street food information anywhere on the internet, and with that, the idea for MCM was born.
