The gourmet food truck industry is steadily growing across the country and even the world. Once referred to as roach coaches, within the last 4 years mobile food has made a strong comeback to become the fastest growing trend in the restaurant industry. Broadcasting their whereabouts on Twitter and other networks has replaced the need maintain a brick and mortar business.
These trucks cover the full gamut of cuisines available including vegetarian and vegan delicacies. This year Mobile Cuisine Magazine has tracked and investigated the Klout statistics to see which vegan food truck is the most influential for 2012.
Klout is a San Francisco based company that provides social media analytics that measures a user’s influence across their social network. The analysis is done on data collected from sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Linked In and measures the size of a person’s network, the content created, and how other people interact with that content.
Coming in first this year, is The Cinnamon Snail truck from Red Bank and Hoboken, NJ and New York City. Coming in second is a truck from the Orange Country, CA, The Seabirds Truck. In third, a tie between two trucks, The Clover Food Truck from Cambridge, MA and LIBA Falafel from San Francisco.
