There is fantastic news coming out of Atlanta for food truck vendors and fans. The Atlanta Street Food Coalition is helping vendors and hungry Atlanta consumers fill a need in an under-served section of the city. This will not be the first of it’s kind (even in the Atlanta area) but it does show that food truck pods/lots are a trend that is only growing all over the country.

ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta’s Spring Street has for many years been lined with empty buildings and lots but is rapidly changing as a result of Midtown’s boom in residential and commercial development.

Greg Smith of Atlanta Street Food Coalition filed plans with the city for a Special Administrative Permit for a food truck park at 1298 Spring Street NW (the corner of Spring and 16th).

Vendors will not be at the site every weekday lunch period so customers are encouraged to check Facebook and Twitter for vendors’ scheduling information.
