COLLEGE STATION, TX – The College Station City Council approved a conditional use permit for a mobile food court in the Northgate District during Thursday’s meeting.
In a 5-2 vote, the council voted in favor of the city’s first mobile food truck court.
The park will be located near the corner of 1st Street and Church Street. It will accommodate nine food vendors and feature a stage and pavilion for community gatherings.
Vendors will be responsible for obtaining building and liquor permits falling. Beer and wine will be sold until midnight; a minimum of two security officers must be at the park, from 10 p.m.-3 a.m., on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
There is no definitive date on the park’s opening, but city officials expects it will take a few months.
