GREENWOOD, AR – The Greenwood City Council will look at an ordinance that could bring food trucks to the city.

The city council will hold the second reading for the ordinance Monday. Before it becomes official, the council must read the ordinance over three times.

When coming up with the ordinance, officials looked at cities like Fayetteville and Fort Smith, that recently passed a food truck ordinance.

One of the biggest concerns is where the trucks would operate and whether or not they would be allowed to park in public spaces. The city planner told 40/29 News Greenwood doesn’t have much foot traffic, so parking in public places could be tough to pass.
