MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue teams were responding to a food truck explosion Thursday morning in southwest Miami-Dade.

The truck was at a location just between West Miami and Coral Gables at 1970 Southwest 57th Place in southwest Miami-Dade.

Mangled wreckage from the food truck was strewn about the street and windows in the area were shattered. Some debris was strewn as far as 100 feet away.

An initial investigation determined that the truck’s propane tank exploded. No further information on the explosion was immediately available. It is not known if anyone was injured in the explosion.

Fire rescue crews remain at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
