ASBURY PARK, NJ – What is billed as the nation’s first oceanfront food truck park opened on July 3rd in Asbury Park.

North Eats officially opened at 7th Avenue and the boardwalk to hungry crowds. Four of the six trucks that will operate all summer were on hand today — Johnny’s Pork-Roll, Seoul Fusion Tapas (innovative Asian food), Igloo ice cream and Italian ice, and The Pocketful(healthy Mediterranean sandwiches and salads).

Two other trucks, Runa Peruvian Cuisine and Neapolitan Express pizzeria, will open next week. North Eats, at the boardwalk’s north end, will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

“We are pleased to be opening the North Eats food truck park at the boardwalk at 7th Avenue in time for the holiday weekend,” said Carrie Turner, general manager of the Asbury Park Boardwalk.

“Our partners at iStar Financial have created a beautifully landscaped oasis on the north end of the boardwalk and we invite everyone to come sample the new culinary offerings and enjoy the atmosphere,” she added.
