SALEM, OR – Barrel & Keg, a new bottle shop and tasting bar is planning to open sometime in March and will host Salem’s first food truck pod, owner Shannon Klopfenstein said.

The trucks will begin congregating at the parking lot behind the bottle shop at 1190 Broadway St. NE, on March 1, she said. Working with the Salem Food Truck Association, three to four food trucks will rotate through the parking lot on a yet-to-be-determined schedule.

Outlaw Grill, Chads Smokin BBQ & Catering, Island Girl’s Lunchbox,Vivacious Molly’s Vibrant Eats, and others will be serving up food a rotating monthly calendar according to Barrel & Keg’s Facebook page.

Hours of operation for the food trucks are 10 a.m to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, said Josh Parker, owner of Coffee in Motion and the marketing representative for the Salem Food Truck Association.
