Atlanta-Food-Truck-Park

ATLANTA, GA – After being temporarily forced to close over a permitting issue with the city, the Atlanta Food Truck Park announced its reopening Thursday.

At midday, the umbrella tables were back up and trucks were present at the facility — a lot with space for mobile food vendors, picnic tables and customer parking — at Howell Mill Road and I-75 on the city’s northwest side.

“Thanks to the help of our friends,

[City] Council member Kwanza Hall, the Atlanta Police Dept., City Hall and the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, your favorite food trucks are now acquiring the proper vending permits for Atlanta Food Truck Park,” said a message posted on the park’s website.

“Over the next couple of days, more and more food trucks will make appearances,” the statement said, adding that plans are being made for a “Take Two—Grand Opening” party.

The park opened last month as the first permanent food truck park in Atlanta open seven days a week.
