Mission In-Pasta-Bowl: 2018 Rookie Food Truck Of The Year

The results for our rookie food truck contest for 2018 are in. So we want to send out congratulations to Mission In-Pasta-Bowl of Oklahoma City, OK for winning the title of 2018 Rookie Food Truck Of The Year!!! After counting the over 6,800 total votes submitted in the poll Mission In-Pasta-Bowl pulled out the win.

Owner and Chef Damien McCullough’s passion for quality food started at a very young age. He can’t remember a time when he wasn’t dying to get into the kitchen and create a delicious meal. After graduating high school in 2005 he joined the Navy. Four years were spent serving up the best dishes on The U.S.S. Hopper.

While enlisted, he was a Team Leader for the first fleet to sweep all three culinary challenges! Two years of management experience at Denny’s was followed by six and a half years as a manager and General Manager for Chili’s. Damien first broke into the mobile food truck industry working for The Flying Pig BBQ Truck.

Damien and Megan McCullough learned a lot about food trucks from Damien’s former boss, David Greggs of The Flying Pig BBQ. But, you have to give it up to them for taking what they learned and making Mission In-Pasta-Bowl a winner almost immediately. According to a iateoklahoma.com review

Megan and Damien married in the Spring of 2012, and are thrilled to be following a lifelong dream of owning and operating their own Food Truck.
