Take a look back and determine where you’re food truck business has been successful and also at what didn’t work.

List What Worked In 2016 And Didn’t

  • What menu items that did and didn’t sell to your expectations?
  • What events did you attend with and without success?
  • Did certain suppliers give great products along with great service or were there others that failed miserably?
  • What marketing promotions helped and which failed?
  • Which social media platforms did you get the most returns from?
  • What were your busy and slow sales days?
  • Which of your employees (if you have any) were reliable and trust worthy, and which required you to spend far too much time monitoring their work?
  • What parts of the city did and didn’t produce enough foot traffic for your food truck concept?
  • Are there cities you operated in that made it tough to operate versus the cities that made it a pleasure?
  • Look at each piece of equipment in your truck and determine if it worked acceptably, or is it time to replace it because it slowed down the time it took to service your customers?

Once you have created this list try to determine why and how you can either add to the success and correct the problems you had. By determining the pluses and correcting the mistakes of the past, your food truck business can grow in 2017 and into the future.
