We are happy to announce a contest which will allow our readers from around the world to name the 2018 waffle food truck of the year. A waffle is a leavened batter or dough cooked between two plates. They are patterned to give a characteristic size, shape and surface impression. There are many variations based on the type of waffle iron and recipe used.
Waffles are eaten throughout the world. Numerous waffle food trucks have been part of the gourmet food truck industry since it’s resurgence in 2008. In last year’s contest we had a fantastic turnout and our final winner was Marty’s Waffles of Alexandria, Kentucky.
Like all of our other food truck contests, the 2018 waffle food truck of the year contest will open today and will be run in two stages. For the next two weeks (we will accept emails submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Friday August 24th, 2018) we will give our readers the opportunity to submit their choices via contact form below or by email at: contact [@] mobile-cuisine [dot] com. Once the data has been collected and counted, we will open a poll (Monday, August 27th, 2018) that allows for voting for the top 10 submissions.
2018 Waffle Food Truck Contest Eligibility
To be eligible for the final 2018 Waffle food truck poll, the vendor needs to have opened before June 2018. Trucks must regularly serve waffles from their truck, cart or trailer. Vendors can be located in any country. Feel free to submit choices from outside the United States and North America.
We look forward to receiving your submissions. 2018 waffle food truck vendors are free to submit their own carts or trucks for consideration and voters may vote as often as you wish. The only request we have is that you submit one entry at a time and include the name of the vendor, as well as the city or area the they operate in.
So let the voting begin. And remember, vote early and vote often.
