FORT SMITH, AR – A Fort Smith nonprofit organization has approval from the Fort Smith Planning Commission to have a food truck court on Garrison Avenue.

John McIntosh of 64.6 Downtown said the organization is planning to have two full-time food trucks at the Garrison Commons pocket park, 913-915 Garrison Ave., as well as seasonal fruit. Granted that the Board of Directors gives the final stamp of approval, the food court is planned to be up and running in March.

The two full-time trucks will be Pie Scout, which serves pies, and Sweet Tea Kitchen, which is a farm-to-table concept, McIntosh said. The exact hours will ultimately be up to the food truck owners, but the idea is to primarily serve a lunch crowd.
