How crazy is this? A Canadian food truck, (One of a Thai) is leaving the Yellowknife Curling Centre at the end of the month over pressure from Centre management to add finger foods to its menu.

YELLOWKNIFE, CANADA – Sousanh Chanthalangsy, owner and founder of the restaurant, says she’s committed to selling authentic Thai food but has been asked to alter her menu in recent weeks.

She says that’s not something she’s comfortable doing, so the restaurant will be leaving the facility after operating out of it for nearly five years.

“I just want to stick to my roots which is Thai food,” she said. “The club wanted us to introduce finger foods like burgers and fries and things like that. It’s something I don’t do and don’t feel comfortable doing.

“We’ve been there for almost five years. It was one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make and it’s over something like burgers and fries.”

Chanthalangsy says One of a Thai will no longer operate out of the Yellowknife Curling Centre after December 29.
