CHARLEVOIX, MI – City officials last week relaunched the pilot program that will bring food trucks to various locations throughout Charlevoix for the summer months.

In 2016, the city rolled out the pilot program to get feedback from mobile food vendors, but no food trucks participated in the program, said Mark Heydlauff, Charlevoix’s city manager.

“We decided to try the program again this year with the hope to get some feedback from food vendors and our traditional brick and mortar establishments,” Heydlauff said. “This program is an opportunity bring more food and beverage choices to Charlevoix during our busy summer season. We also hope it gives people at our beaches, parks, golf course and even our airport another option in the summer.”

The mobile food vendors will be assigned to different zones on city-owned property on designated days. The hours of operation depend on the day and zone the vendor is in.
