CHEYENNE, WY – An ordinance on food trucks passed November 27 at the Cheyenne City Council. Now permitting and technical aspects for food trucks will be much easier for the owners. The end goal is to make the process easy and efficient enough to increase the amount of services we have in Cheyenne.

As one truck owner says, “Every time I need to change in location, I have to run down and change all my permits and everything.”

In the past when someone wanted to have a food truck in Cheyenne, the owner had to get a permit every time. Other places in the state didn’t require this.

Dr. Rinne, of the Cheyenne City Council, says, “It was just a headache. It was extra work for the city clerk’s office who issues the permits and it was a headache for the people who own the food trucks.”
