CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A local food truck was robbed overnight and officers are still searching for the men responsible.

Officers say just before midnight, two black men with a gun forced themselves into the Mi Terra Food Truck on the 3700 block of Baldwin. A few employees and a child were in the truck at the time. No other description of the men were given.

The men then demanded money from the victims.

Lieutenant David Saldana with the Corpus Christi Police Department said the victims did the right thing by following the criminals’ instructions.

“That’s what we would ask the public to do anytime they find themselves in a situation like this,” Saldana said. “Do what’s asked of you and be safe.”

The thieves made off with an undetermined amount of money. Thankfully, no one was injured in the robbery.

Officers are still searching for the men responsible.
