FORT COLLINS, CO – A group of students at Poudre High School are trying to get in on the booming food truck industry.

Ms. Toplin’s catering class was challenged to expand their business. To do it, students decided to raise $35,000 to buy a food truck.

Via a community funding page, they were able to meet their goal, raising just under $36,000 in around a month.

“I’m so proud of them, they really stepped up to the plate” Toplin said.

The food truck arrived at Poudre High School on Tuesday. In the beginning, students will only use the truck to cater district-sanctioned events, but Toplin says the truck may hit the streets in the future.

“This is definitely just the beginning,” she said. “I’m so excited I can’t put it into words.”
