the-great-food-truck-racePOCATELLO, ID – Last week announced that Season 4 of the Great Food Truck Race had been spotted filming in San Francisco, this week we found that the latest stop for the show is in Idaho. Officials with the Portneuf Valley Farmers’ Market, based in Old Town Pocatello, say a Food Network reality television series has put their operation in the national spotlight.

“The Great Food Truck Race” made a stop in Pocatello during the Memorial Day weekend, including a visit to the farmers’ market Saturday morning.

The show, hosted by Tyler Florence, pits teams driving food trucks across the country in sales competitions. Trucks that sell the least amount of food in each city are gradually eliminated, until a winning team emerges to take home cash and its own food truck.

The show also includes cooking competitions along the way.

“We’re proud that they chose Pocatello. Apparently they found the Old Town Pocatello website and were pretty impressed and decided to come here,” said Debra Harris, manager of the Portneuf Valley market. “Everybody is talking about it all over town.”
