Good news for Niagara Falls area food trucks. These vendors may soon have another municipality to operate in. While it may not happen soon, the timing seems to be that if regulations are approved, they should be ready for Spring.

YOUNGSTOWN, NY – The Youngstown Village Board picked up its discussion on food truck regulations during Thursday’s meeting.

In December, the board said it would look into the matter and Village Code 141 – Licensed Operations, was consulted, though much of it may be antiquated. This particular section was adopted in 1963, the village attorneys said.

Mayor Raleigh Reynolds said the board will plan to meet with local business owners for input while drafting any proposed additions to the code. While a priority will be placed on protecting currently established businesses, the mayor said he hopes the final decision “can be something good for everyone.”
