FORT COLLINS, CO – Old Town residents, workers and visitors will have more lunch options Tuesday through Friday. There will be two food trucks parked at the MAX Downtown Transit Center.

The MAX bus rapid transit system started running in May and serves Midtown, CSU and Downtown via a north-south route Monday through Saturday. There are 12 stops along the way.

Common-Link will serve lunch at 250 N. Mason St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Loveland-based Seasonal Soups, Salads and More serves from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday.

The vendors are currently testing the location for customer demand, said Timothy Wilder, Transfort’s service development manager.

“Transfort believes that food vendors can play an important role in providing a well-rounded transit center that offers multiple services, including MAX and other transit routes, the Bike Library, food, bicycle racks and storage and a community gathering space,” Wilder said.

Seasonal Soups owner Angela Norman has been parked at the MAX Downtown Transit Center for the past three weeks, serving her homemade soups, salads and sandwiches. Norman said she notices traffic from MAX and the Bike Library, but her business is still slow.

“I’m hoping that it will get better once word gets out,” she said.

The Dowtown Transit Center is Norman’s only regular stop in Fort Collins.
