traverse-city-food truckGRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – Food trucks in Traverse City can now stay open later, as long as they are on private property.

Traverse City Commissioners approved a change to the ordinance Monday night, allowing mobile food vendors to have extended hours.

The trucks can open at 6 a.m. and stay open until 3 a.m.

City Commissioner Jim Carruthers said this applies primarily to The Little Fleet, at the corner of Wellington and Front St.

Food trucks that operate on city owned lots did not see their hours change.
