First and largest food truck festival in Texas will benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society

DALLAS, TX – U.S. Food Trucks,  an affiliate of U.S. Restaurant Properties that specializes in food truck ownership services, is hosting their first annual state-wide TX Food Truck Fest on Friday May 11th and Saturday, May 12thFor the first time, 30 Food trucks from all over Texas will come together in this two day event to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.  It will be held in the South lot of Valley View Center in North Dallas between Preston Road and Montfort Drive off of the I-635W service road.

“We’re really excited to be pairing up the food trucks and the community to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society,” Mike Rangel, President of U.S. Food Trucks.

The TX Food Truck Fest is the largest gathering of food trucks in the state to date.  Natalie Roffino, Assistant Director of Services and Venue Management for U.S. Food Trucks states, “Bringing together the food trucks from all across the state to showcase their treats and eats while helping benefit and bring awareness to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Team in Training is an event that I am thrilled to be a part of.”

During the festival there will be a Dash & Dine 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run.  The vendor booths and food trucks will make up the runners village at the finish line and then that area will be opened up to the public for a day long festival of food and fun.  All those that participate in the Dash & Dine 5K will receive a wristband to get into the festival for the entire weekend.  Wristbands are $5 and it covers entrance for the entire weekend.  15 percent of wristband proceeds for the weekend festival will be donated to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, North Texas Chapter.

This event is open to the public Friday, May 11th (5-10pm) and Saturday, May 12th Dash & Dine (8am start) and the TX Food Truck Fest (11am-11pm).
