ST. GEORGE, UT – A food truck in southern Utah is serving up more than just good food. It’s planning to help hundreds of children in need this holiday season.

They call themselves Chef Hog and for nearly 10 months, the restaurant on wheels has been giving first responders a 50 percent discount off their meals. After witnessing the violent, deadly, shooting in Las Vegas the owner of Chef Hog, Jeff Germain, believed he needed to do something more.

“There’s a lot of hate in this world right now and to me I think people need to sit back and forget about that hate for a while and start looking at who we are and what we really are,” Germain said. To help, he partnered up with law enforcement in Shop with a Cop.

For every BBQ pork sandwich, rack of ribs and Greek gyro, one dollar used to pay for that meal will be donated to the Shop with a Cop program.
