YOUNGSTOWN, NY –  Officials discussed the potential of food trucks operating in the village during Thursday night’s board meeting.

Village Attorney Tom Caserta reported that a resident had approached him, hoping to begin operating a food truck or similar business in the spring.

Upon research, Caserta said he discovered that the village currently has no codes specific to food trucks in place.

Caserta told members of the village board he has begun to examine Buffalo and Amherst codes on the subject and would begin drafting some codes for the board to consider adding to Youngstown’s code.
