My wife and I just enrolled our oldest daughter into preschool this year. She’s attending a school called Challenger and has loved the experience so far. As a dad, watching my daughter enjoy her first bit of independence being dropped off at school is pretty weird.

After picking up my daughter from school last week, we decided to brainstorm our own preschool name ideas. We came up with a list of more than 202 smart preschool name ideas for gifted students. We even included names for Montessori schools, daycares, preschool classes, and blogs as an added bonus. Find the perfect name with our list and start opening your doors to our future leaders.

The Importance of Preschool

One of our most treasured memories happened when we were in preschool. Laughing with our childhood buddies as you learn a new nursery rhyme, letters, and numbers. It’s so long ago that most of us can barely remember.

With that in mind, preschool is more than just a place where we learn to sing songs and play. It is the stepping stone for our formal education. Preschool is a place for children to become learners and help put them on the right track through the next 15 to 16 years of school. For the 2019-2020 school year, there were over 1.6 million students enrolled in pre-kindergarten in the United States, according to Statista. This number is expected to increase in the 2020s as life (hopefully) returns to normal.

Preschool is the place where children are given the opportunity meet their own friends and experience a little bit of independence outside of the home. This builds up a positive association with learning, according to an article on the Northshore Christian Academy website.

To add, the article also states that the best way for children to learn is through a playful environment. If you have an overly academic atmosphere, kids may be turned off from school, get distracted or bored. The best preschools are those that aid a child’s drive to learn. These schools make student curious and excited.

Nonetheless, most parents are still unsure as to whether a preschool is worth it or not. This is because they are uncertain of what their children are learning during preschool. Above anything else, preschools today are quite expensive with prices ranging from $$4,460 to $13,158 per year or $372 to $1,100 monthly. This is according to the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA). Personally, I pay about $600 per month to send out kid to preschool at half-days, 5 days a week. The price would increase if we sent her to full days. That’s not exactly cheap, especially if you’ve got more than one child.

So, those numbers clearly show just how expensive it is to put a kid to preschool. But there’s more to be considered then the cost alone. You’ve got to consider your child’s future as well.

For one thing, preschools can teach multiple skills aside from advancing a child’s intellect. Preschools help kids develop their social skills. Interacting with other children and adults are outside of their families for extended periods can help encourage kids to make friends.

On top of that, preschool teaches students about cooperation, builds listening skills, and develops conversational skills. Through these interactions, a child can also learn about self-regulation or what is better known as “teachable moments”.

You see, when children play or engage in activities with others, conflicts, such as frustration or anger can and will arise from time to time. Teachers can use these opportunities to teach their students about how their behavior impacts others. Plus, they can also help preschoolers practice interpersonal problem-solving skills, which are helpful not just in school, but also in life.

When it comes to the positive impact of preschool, the list goes on and on. They can help enrich creativity, develop cognitive and motor skills, promote better decision-making, and so much more. I hope this report helps you find the right name for your preschool.
