Food Truck Owners Poll: Minimum Wage Increase

Mobile food vending is our passion and we are always looking at ways to assist owner operators as well as the customers they feed. From time to time we run polls to gain industry information that truck owners can use to help better their customer service and the options that they provide to the communities that they serve. Other times our polls are set to find out general information “we” want to know.

This week we are interested in finding out vendor thoughts on an increase to the federal minimum wage. In a previous poll we found that 91% of food truck owners already pay their line cooks more than the current minimum wage and that over 24% already pay more than the proposed increase minimum wage of $10.10 and hour.

Because of all the recent discussion on minimum wage we wanted to find out your thoughts on a mandated raise across the country from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour.

Let us know your thoughts and be sure to share this post with all of the other trucks in your area, so we can share our findings with our readers. If you would like to discuss this topic, please feel free to leave a comment in the comment section below.

I do support the idea of raising the minimum wage, I just don’t agree that it should be 10 bucks.. I think more like 8.50-9 is more reasonable. Also don’t think it should be adjusted annually but rather bi annual or every three years.
