If you are a new Mobile Cuisine reader, you may not know that we are an online trade magazine that has covered the mobile food industry since 2010. We cover the industry as a whole and have strayed away from covering one specific region of the country.

With that said, there are numerous blogs across the world that cover specific countries and the cities where food trucks operate. From New York to Miami and Toronto to Dallas there are bloggers that cover the gamut of mobile food businesses.

For the last two years we have awarded a favorite local food truck blogger title from a group of North American bloggers. Because the mobile food industry continues to grow around the world; the 2014 Local Food Truck Blog of the year contest is open to bloggers around the globe.

Because of this change, we will be breaking the contest into two parts. The first which shall begin today will be for blogger fans to submit their choice for favorite food truck blog. The second part will take the top 10 local food truck blogs and put them into a poll where our readers will be able to submit a vote for their favorite.

Last year, our winner was the Food Truck Junkie out of Nashville, TN. Will she retain her title or will another blogger be able to take the title from her?

2014 Local Food Truck Blog Of The Year: The Rules

Submissions that will be accepted must be of blogs that centralize their content on food truck businesses, their owners, the food they serve and the food truck events in their community. We understand that some bloggers tie food trucks into their standard food blogs, but we feel that the blogs that are food truck focused need their own contest.

This portion of the contest will run through Friday, October 24th (11:59 PM Central Time). Once the votes have been tabulated, the top 10 bloggers will be placed into a poll and released on Monday, October 27th.

The winner will be able to claim the title of 2014 Favorite Local Food Truck Blog as well as have the chance to be part of a feature story here at Mobile Cuisine that delves into the individuals who run these fantastic food truck blogs and why they write what they do.

Please submit your votes in the comment section below or send them to us via email (contest

[at] mobile-cuisine [dot] com). You may make as many submissions as you like, so vote early and vote often!!!
