FAQ’s About the Panda Express Menu
What menu items have been discontinued at Panda Express?
8 Treasure Chicken
This was a popular item that as discontinued for no official reasons expressed by Panda Express. Fans miss the eight-ingredient combination of the dish which included all-white chicken meat, diced Chinese pork sausage, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, celery, Chinese black beans, whole dry chili peppers, and a special spicy savory sauce.
Panda Express upgraded the recipe and replaced it with the Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
Orange Chicken with Bacon
Panda Express knew their Orange Chicken was divine, and they also knew bacon was a top-tier fast food item. Their experiment with this discontinued dish flopped because no matter how amazing these two food are separately, they did not blend well into that sweet and salty combo they were hoping to get. many customers voice the same opinion and eventually had to discontinue the dish. Still, their Orange Chicken and bacon remain on the menu as separate orders.
Shiitake Kale Chicken Breast
A bowl that featured chicken breast, kale, shiitake mushrooms, and broccoli. It was a new healthy option at the time of its debut and many customers initially loved it. However, there was one particular downside to the dish. Fans complained of it having more broccoli rather than equal parts of all the ingredients. Thus, the shiitake was overpowered and the whole dish was soon taken out of the picture.
Similar to Orange Chicken but made with pork. it was an entree dish that served crispy pork chop bites stir-fried with a sweet and sour glaze in a wok along with green bell peppers and onions. The dish itself remains a popular restaurant item in many parts of Asia as a counterpart to the chicken. As for Panda Express, orange pork wasn’t that popular despite having no extremely bad reviews for the flavor itself.
