NEW YORK, NY – This takes the term “food fight” to a whole new level.
A trio of ferocious food cart vendors attacked a fellow vendor with a hammer in lower Manhattan Saturday morning as part of a turf war, police said.
The victim was setting up shop across from Bloomingdales on Broadway near Broome St. when three other vendors looking to horn in on his prime location attacked him, police sources said.
One of the assailants struck the victim repeatedly with a hammer while the others piled on, witnesses told police.
Witnesses called police, who quickly arrested the three attackers.
