Rustic Taco: 2020 Food Truck Taco Of The Year

The results for our taco food truck contest for 2020 are in. We want to send out congratulations to Rustic Taco of Rochester, NY, for winning the title of 2020 Food Truck Taco Of The Year!!! After counting nearly 1,000 total votes submitted in the poll the Rustic Taco team has pulled out the victory.

Carrie O’Rourke, the owner and creator of Rustic Taco Bar, has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Her two passions in life are her family and cooking. Carrie is a self taught cook and it is through her family and friends ongoing support and praises in the kitchen that Carrie’s dream to open up a food truck has become a reality.

Rustic Taco Bar takes a quintessential street food and re-imagines it with a new culinary vision. Instead of focusing on traditional Mexican-style tacos, Rustic Taco Bar uses spirits such as beer, hard cider, and tequila to infuse delicious flavors into the menu. “One of the most important things to me was the quality of the food,” O’Rourke said. She makes her own toppings and sauces each day.

Rustic Taco Bar purchases produce from local farmers when ever possible. Bringing their customers fresh, sustainable, local ingredients is a priority. Working with local businesses is our passion!
