What menu items have been discontinued at City Barbeque?

There are no known discontinued City Barbeque menu items. They did have a limited-time item release back in 2019 containing three new dishes; Superfood Slaw, Gumbo, and Brisket Chili. The Brisket Chilis became so popular that they made it to the regular menu. The other two were not so lucky.

The no longer available Superfood Slaw was a blend of kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, hand-chopped red peppers, purple cabbage, fresh celery, farro, cilantro, mint, and dried cranberries drenched in a citrus vinaigrette. I wish I had the chance to try it.

The sides and appetizers at City Barbeque are the real standouts in my opinion. This doesn’t mean their barbecue meats aren’t worth any attention. You can create many combo options at the restaurant between their meat and sides menu and each pairing will turn out a match made in heaven.

As evidenced by one Yelp review who devoted a whole month to try out all of restaurants dishes (I’m impressed!) the most popular items are pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked turkey. These meals come with their own sides of your choice and plenty of options for sauces and dressings. These meals come in individual servings, pans, or even catering sizes.

Arguably, their most popular dish is The Motherload. It is the ultimate sampler to try. The meal includes their famous brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, half a slab of ribs, half a chicken, two sausages, six individual sides of your choice, cornbread, and Texas toast. Another good choice is the More Cowbell sandwich.
