What menu items have been discontinued at LongHorn Steakhouse?

LongHorn Steakhouse has been in business for more than four decades. With a run that long, it’s no surprise the company has discontinued a few menu items. Here are some of the items that were removed. 

Maverick Ribeye Sandwich

This discontinuation this menu item upset a lot of customers. This sandwich was a complete meal, featuring a succulent ribeye steak, flavorful grilled onions for a balance of sweetness and tanginess, and gooey melted cheese to bind the ingredients. All of this was enclosed in two slices of crisp, fresh bread similar to Texas Toast. Similar to a patty melt but with a ribeye steak in the middle.

Sweet Chili Calamari

Longhorn Steakhouse used to have a delicious calamari dish tossed in a flavorful sweet chili sauce and served with a creamy ranch dip for dipping. The calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the ranch dressing paired perfectly with it. Unfortunately, it was discontinued.

Crab Cake Filet

In 2017, this was introduced as a limited-time special that became one of its most well-received dishes. Named the Crab Cake Filet, this seasonal dish included a tender baked lump crab cake, topped with a tangy lemon-garlic cream sauce and placed on a perfectly grilled center-cut steak.

Grilled Lamb Chop

The Grilled Lamb Chops were such a popular dish with our customers that they wanted it to stay on the regular menu permanently. They cut the lamb chops by hand in-house and marinated them in a special blend of herbs and spices. Then they fire-grilled them to perfection and served them with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and spinach.

Caramel Apple Goldrush

This irresistible, freshly baked pie quickly became a cherished dessert at LongHorn’s Steakhouse. Filled with succulent Fuji apples and topped with smooth vanilla bean ice cream and generously drizzled with Jim Beam caramel and raspberry sauce. So when the dessert was abruptly discontinued without explanation, people felt disheartened.

Is there unlimited bread at LongHorn Steakhouse?

Unfortunately, LongHorn Steakhouse does not serve unlimited bread. The restaurant serves bread as soon as you sit down. However, LongHorn Steakhouse does refill the bread upon your request.
