Maybe Outback Steakhouse realized Mexican food was not their forte. Perhaps it had something to do with the production of ingredients. Whatever the reason may be, this discontinuation of this soup remains a mystery. Our only hope is if management will one day reconsider adding this menu item.

Alice Springs Quesadillas

A cheesy, savory soup featuring Velveeta cheese, sweet yellow onions, and chicken bouillon cubes. This was a dish that could serve as an appetizer, a dipping sauce for the famous Bloomin’ Onions, and a side dish!  Just like the Walkabout Soup, there was never much of an explanation why the restaurant decided to drop the item. Too cheesy? We may never know the full reason, but sluggish sales is likely party of the cause.

Outback Steakhouse is quite generous with discounts for folks that hold an AARP membership card. Customers that present their AARP card are able to receive 10% off the entire check. Other than that, sadly they do not have any offers for either students or seniors. On Veterans Day, the restaurant also has what they call the Heroes Discount. Personally, I like mine with a side of ranch dressing. Of course, that doesn’t mean their steaks aren’t any good. Their steaks are worth saving up for date nights and their seafood doesn’t fall far behind either.
