New from the makers of Order Up! comes the new multi-player game Food Truck Wars!

According to the developers, the mission of this game is to:

“Serve as many customers as you can each round! At the end of the day, the truck that served the most is the winner! Arrange customers to CREATE COMBOS for big points! You can even SABOTAGE your opponent’s food truck to gain the upper hand, or unleash your Chefs SUPER POWER for the ultimate score! Use your winnings to CUSTOMIZE YOUR TRUCK, or UNLOCK NEW ONES!”

Players take it in turns to serve as many customers as possible in a round in order to gain the most points. This is done through matching up meals with the customers’ expectations as well as dishing out cans of drinks. Players only get to use a certain number of plates per round so it’s down to them to figure out the best course of action, while following it up with a can based power up. These cans frequently either sabotage the other player’s attempts or get rid of a few customers to aid the player.

Unfortunately, it all feels too slow paced. There’s not enough strategy or thought required to want to take your time planning the next move, such as in other asynchronous multiplayer games. Instead, it lends itself to fast paced action, something that Order Up!! Food Truck Wars lacks.

Other problems stem from the lack of opponents. The Order Up!! Food Truck Wars community just isn’t as busy as one would hope, meaning that players really need to encourage friends to join in if they want regular competition.

While it has it’s issues, it is still simple and addictive fun that will have you playing a whole list of your friends. Finding them is easy with Facebook or a simple email. The game, which can be downloaded for your Android, iPhone or iPad, has been called “addicting” and “so much fun” in customer reviews.
