What menu items have been discontinued at Chili’s?

In 2017 various Fresh Mex items were cut from the menu. Here are the menu items that landed on the chopping block for that year.

• Spicy Shrimp Tacos
• Smothered Chicken Burrito
• Smoked Chicken Quesadillas

• Pork Carnitas Tacos
• Prime Rib Fresh Mex Bowl

Chili’s still serves other chicken crispers on the menu despite the discontinuation of the original version. Kind of weird, but that’s how things played out. 

What discounts can you claim at Chili’s?

There are all sorts of ways to save money on every visit to Chili’s. Let’s kick things off with an explanation on how you can get a free order of chips and salsa or a non-alcoholic beverage with each visit.

The first step to savings is to sign up for the My Chili’s Rewards program. When you register for this free account using your name, email address, and creating a password, you visit a Chili’s at least once every 60 days and spend at least $5.00. This program also gets you signed up for a free dessert on your birthday (valued at $8.49 or less) and personalized rewards of free kids meals or appetizers depending on your profile. Finally, you get free wifi access as a rewards members. If you like saving money and eating at Chili’s, this program is a must join.

Is there a catchy to the My Chili’s Rewards program? Nothing major that I could find. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to join and visit restaurants in the United States, including Hawaii to qualify. Also, keep in mind that all rewards at Chili’s are limited time so make sure to take advantage of discounts before they expire. Most rewards expire after only 30 days incentivizing customers to become regulars.

Happy Hour Specials

Chili’s happy hour drink deals.

Another way to save is by visiting during happy hour. Fortunately, Chili’s is generous with their happy hour schedule. You can also check this page on the Chili’s website to search what your neighborhood happy hour times are.

Here are the happy hour times for my local Chili’s:

• Saturday + Sunday: All day happy hour.
• Monday: 3 p.m. – Close.
• Tuesday and Wednesday: 3 p.m – 6 p.m.
• Thursday: 3 p.m. – Close.
• Friday: 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Here are some of the happy hour drink specials you can expect: 16 oz Bud Light ($3), 22 oz Bud Light ($4), 12 oz Modelo ($4), 22 oz Model ($5), Tequila Trifecta ($6), Straw-Eddy Rita ($6), Tito’s Bloody Mary ($6). Don’t forget to ask about the select list of appetizers that’s also on special during this time.

Margarita of the Month

Margarita of the Month.

You can save any time of the day by ordering the Margarita of the Month. The margarita flavor changes each month, but you get a fantastic deal between $5 – $6 depending on the month. Here are some of the previous margaritas that have been featured:

• October, 2022: The Fang-tastic Rita
• November, 2022: Maker’s Mark-a-Rita
• December, 2022: Santa’s Secret Stache Rita
• January, 2023: No margarita featured this month.

Are you 55+? Chili’s gives members of AARP discounts nationwide, they also offer 10% discounts to seniors. Students can also enjoy 10%  student discounts at Chili’s with UNiDAYS.

Veterans receive free meals as well on Veterans Day, the list are as follows: 

• Margarita Grilled Chicken
• Bowl of Chili or Soup and Salad
• Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas
• Just Bacon Burger
• Oldtimer with Cheese
• Cajun Chicken Pasta

Last, but certainly not least is to check out the lunch menu that runs Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This special gives you the choice of 6 entrees for $10, plus a soup and salad. You’ll save between 15% – 25% compared to the regular menu prices depending on the entree selected.

There is currently no secret menu at Chili’s. If this ever changes, I’ll be the first to let you know about it. 

Are there any Chili’s menu items for specialty diets?

Yes, they offer allergen/Vegetarian, Nutrition, Gluten-Friendly Menu. If someone in your group has a food allergy, let your server or the manager know before placing your orders. Keep in mind the restaurant doesn’t guarantee that any food item will be completely allergen-free because common food preparation methods, such as common oil frying and use of common food preparation tools and surfaces may contact different food items.

Who is the target audience of Chili’s menu?

Chili’s clientele of all ages due to their broad menu and National advertising campaigns. The restaurant is a go-to venue for birthdays, celebrations, hangouts, impromptu dates, or no special reason at all.

Chili’s was founded in 1975 by Larry Lavine. The chain has more than a thousand locations across the world and continues to add units. They mainly focus on giving their customers what they deserve and putting them as their main priority to make them feel at home.

In the year 2002 Create-A-Pepper campaign was created to support the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, they raised over $100 million. Create-A-Pepper still exists up today and continues to support St. Jude.
