What menu items have been discontinued at Pizza Hut’s?

Sicilian Lasagna Pizza

If there is one thing Pizza Hut should bring back from its discontinued menu items list, it should be the Sicilian Lasagna Pizza. It’s a pizza made with lasagna ingredients minus the pasta. The restaurant served square Sicilian crust topped with ground beef, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and marinara sauce. The many layers of rich hearty ingredients reminded me of a deep-dish pizza. 

Panormous Pizza

Pizza cravings can come at any time of the day or night. To satisfy this, Pizza Hut created the Panormous Pizza, which is the equivalent of two large pan pizzas. Additionally, you can add two extra toppings and have it sliced more times than their regular 16 full-sized slices of this beast. Sounds like a treat. But, all good things must end, and Pizza Hut eventually removed this from the menu.

Tuscani Premium Bacon Mac n’ Cheese

Pastas are what you immediately think about when you hear Pizza Hut’s forte but they do offer a significant pasta menu. When they came out with the Tuscani Mac n’ Cheese fusing American and Italian food, it was clear they should place their research and development efforts into their pizzas instead. It wasn’t a complete disaster but the dish lacked flavor according to the online reviews I read.

Twisted Crust Pizza

Leave it to Pizza Hut to come up with a creative pizza crust. Their Twisted Crust Pizza was made with a ring of breadsticks that you could remove and dip on either marinara or cheddar cheese sauce. Whether it was about the growing number of low-carb fad diets or just simply statistics, we may never know exactly why this item was discountinued.

Taco Pizza

This menu item can still be found at select Pizza Hut locations in the Midwest. When I got to Pizza Hut this is actually my favorite menu item. As you would expect, this pizza is made with the ingredients of a taco. Imagine lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and ground beef all layered into one hot crusty pizza. The diced tomatoes and lettuce are added after the pizza is cooked so you don’t need to deal with burned lettuce. The pizza used to come with a side of salsa and sour cream as well.
