QDOBA has implemented some menu modifications over the nearly two decades they’ve been serving casual Mexican cuisine. One particular menu item that disappointed fans was the removal of the Tortilla Soup. There’s even an online petition to help bring back this soup. If you miss it, feel free to join movement.

The restaurant announced the drop across their social media channels and has yet to make further comments about bringing it back permanently or as a limited-time item menu. The reason cited for its removal was supply issues. Hopefully the company can figure out a way to solve these logistic challenges and bring it back.
The chains “Impossible” line of menu items has also been phased out but only at select locations due to poor demand. Although one items that remained is the Impossible Fajita Bowl. Eat more and save more by signing up for the QDOBA Rewards program. Enrolling in the loyalty program helps you earn a free entree when you’ve earned 125 points or $125 in spend (160 points in Canada) and other fun perks.
There are two levels you can reach at QDOBA by joining the loyalty program:
- Foodie Status: You earn this status level by hitting 0 – 11 visits per year. You get a free entree when you hit 125 points or $125 in spend.
- Chef Status: You earn this level when you reach 12 visits in a calendar year. This status lets you order a $2 signature 3-cheese queso and chips with the purchase of an entree. You also get exclusive coupons and offers that are only available to this level.
Once you earn a free entree, make sure to take advantage of the offer within 60 days or else it will expire.

There are certain time periods where QDOBA will offer you double points for signing up. This helps you earn free food even faster. One of those time periods was celebration of the March Madness basketball tournament from 3/12/2023 – 4/3/2023.

What does QDOBA mean anyway?
Contrary to online speculation QDOBA is not a word in Spanish. It’s just a name that was created for a the fast-casual brand. A few years ago, QDOBA revealed their name officially means “flavor” according to the marketing team.
Other acronyms that have been tossed around online include “Quickly Devouring Our Burritos Always” to “Queso, Delicious On Basically Anything.” While these guesses are both creative and kind of funny they are not accurate.
