FAQs about Firehouse Subs Menu

What menu items have been discontinued at Firehouse Subs?

Here are two sandwiches that were removed from the menu.

BBQ Cuban Sub

The BBQ Cuban Sub debuted for only a limited time. This sandwich consists of slow-cooked pulled pork, Virginia honey ham, melted Swiss cheese, chipotle slaw with a kick, pickle chips with a zesty flavor, mayo and a sweet mustard BBQ sauce all served on a toasted sub roll.

Pastrami Reuben Sub

This sandwich is made out of a signature toasted sub roll loaded with USDA Choice Pastrami and melted Swiss. The sandwich was finished off with a combination of coleslaw, Thousand Island dressing, and mayo to give it a sweet and tangy flavor. This limited-time offering was added in honor of National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day.

Are there any discounts or menu hacks you can claim at Firehouse Subs?

There’s no shortage of menu hacks and ways to save on every visit to Firehouse Subs. Lets talk about the best-bet discounts first.

Signing up for the Firehouse Rewards program is a no brainier. Once you sign up for the Firehouse Rewards, you receive a voucher for a free large drink with sub purchase. You’ll also receive a free medium sub on your birthday. The Birthday Sub offer can be redeemed on your date of birth or within a period of six days following the day. You must be at least 16 years of age or older to qualify for this offer.

Like so many other rewards programs, you’ll earn points with each visit. But don’f overlook this program because it’s a lot more generous than first meets the eye. For every $0.01 you spend at Firehouse Subs, you’ll earn 1 point toward sandwiches and meal upgrades.

Based on the current rewards system, after you spend $100 at the store you’ll have enough points to cover most medium sandwiches on the menu. Take for example the Firehouse Meatball sub that costs $9.79 regular price. In this example, you’re essentially saving 10% just for joining a rewards program. And if you get creative playing the game of rewards points like a pro, you could eat for even less.

There’s also a couple clever ways to get more rewards points that can be exchanged for free food. The first is to eat at Firehouse Subs on Mondays. This is a double reward points day on everything that you order. You could easily build up enough points for a free sub with just a couple visits. Want even more reward points? You have the option within the Firehouse Subs app to send text messages to 10 friends encouraging them to sign up as well. For each buddy who responds to the text and signs up for an account, you’ll get 300 more reward points.

Finally, the Firehouse Rewards points never expire once you earn them. The long and short of it is this is just an awesome loyalty program.

Are you a firefighter? Naturally, this chain offers a free medium drink to firefighters in uniform. This may not come as a surprise to you since the sandwich chain was founded by two former firefighters and brothers Robin Sorensen and Chris Sorensen.

Unfortunately, Firehouse Subs does not have a franchise-wise policy to offer benefits or deals to first responders, members of the military, police officers or veterans. The company website says that some franchise operators extend this offer to other roles, but you’ll want to call ahead to find out if it applies in your area. Firehouse Subs has no official discounts for seniors either.

Firehouse Subs Menu Hacks

Make sure to grab your reciept when you visit Firehouse Subs. If you look check the bottom of your check, you might just find a question asking you to rate and review your service. In exchange for this feedback, the company may offer a free medium drink with any adult sub or salad purchase. You’ll also be entered in a raffle to win $500. That’s what I call a win.

My next hack is for the salad menu. While you might not immediately think about ordering salad at a sandwich shop, I suggest you give it a try. When you order a salad, you can request more produce added to the salad free of charge for many items like banana peppers, lettuce, black olives, and onions to name a few. You’ll be charged extra for adding extra meat or cheese to the salad.

What are the most popular menu items at Firehouse Subs?

Spicy Cajun Chicken Sub

A spicy kick of Cajun seasoning on the grilled chicken breast is featured in this sandwich. The lettuce and onions give a cool, refreshing contrast to the heat, while deli mustard and sliced chili peppers bring the flavors to a higher level. Add in the melted pepper Jack cheese for an unparalleled taste. Firehouse Subs was only offering the sandwich for a limited period, but it proved so popular with the local people that they had no choice but to add it to their permanent menu.

Hook & Ladder

This Hook and Ladder sub is made with smoked turkey slices, Monterey Jack cheese, and honey ham for a balance of savory and sweet. Toppings include mayo, tomato, onion, mustard, lettuce, and a side of dill pickle to refresh the palate.

Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket Sub

Firehouse Subs’ Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket Sub is a treat for the meat-loving palate. The USDA choice beef brisket used in the sandwich is sliced thin and hickory-smoked for at least 10 hours, but no more than 16, to provide the fullest smoky flavor. To top it off, barbecue sauce, melted cheese and a toasted sub roll complete this delicious dish.

Firehouse Meatball

The classic Firehouse Meatball Sub is a favorite for many customers. This indulgent sandwich has Italian flavors and the melted provolone cheese helps to keep any of the marinara sauce from spilling. It is considered by many to be the best option on the menu.

Loaded Potato Soup

This dish is one of the popular items that isn’t a sandwich. Peppered and topped with chives and onions, it has a homemade-style potato soup taste. Melted cheddar cheese makes it velvety and cheesy, while the bacon gives it an appetizing smoky savor that plays off the cooked potatoes flawlessly.
